An 18 year legal drinking age would probably not have many negative consquences. Many foreign countries dictate an 18 year old drinking age and deal with fewer alcohol related affairs among young people. An eighteen year old in the United States is assigned recognition and responsibility as an adult. Multiple privileges attached to the responsibilities are withheld until these adults reach 19 or 21.
